Mobile Field Stables / Stables on Skids
Mobile field stables offer a convenient and flexible solution for horse owner. These portable stables can be easily moved from paddock to paddock, making them ideal for situations where permanent stables are not feasible.
Unlike static stables that are bolted to a concrete base or brick course, our stables on skids include 4×4 timber skids constructed using 2 4×2’s bolted together. However, we also offer the option to upgrade to galvanized metal skids for added durability and longevity.
Our wooden stables are top-quality, featuring bottom stable doors and designed to accommodate one horse per stable, although multiple stables can be connected in a row if needed. The standard external size is 12’x12′ (approximately 3.6m x 3.6m), but for larger horses or additional space requirements, you have the option to increase the size to 14’x12′ (approximately 4.2m x 3.6m) or even larger. The modular design allows for the addition of other blocks such as tack rooms, wash bays, kitchens, or workshops to create a customized and functional layout.
The largest mobile build on skids we can provide is 36′ / 10.8m, this can be moved by a large tractor on correct conditions.
