SPILLERS SENIOR SUPER-MASH – 20KG
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Spillers Senior Super-Mash is a fast-soaking, high-fibre mash specially designed for senior horses and ponies. It provides highly digestible fibre to help maintain condition while supporting digestive health, making it particularly useful for older horses with poor teeth or difficulty chewing traditional forage.
With a low-sugar and starch recipe, Senior Super-Mash is whole cereal and molasses-free and is suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis. In addition, it contains quality protein to help maintain muscle tone and topline.
It can be fed alongside other feeds, used on its own as a complete feed, or used as a total hay replacer where required. As a result, it offers a flexible feeding option for senior horses with different nutritional needs.

SOAKING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the required amount of Spillers Senior Super-Mash in a bucket and add 1.5 times the volume of water.
Leave to soak for approximately 2 minutes, or until the water has been fully absorbed. Then check that the consistency is suitable for your horse or pony before feeding.
Natural variation in the raw materials may affect soaking time. Therefore, warm water may sometimes be required to achieve the best consistency.
FEEDING GUIDE
250kg pony in light work: Approximately 1.5kg dry weight per day, with forage available.
500kg horse in light work: Approximately 3kg dry weight per day, with forage available.
500kg horse unable to eat hay, grass or short-chopped fibre: Approximately 11.5kg dry weight per day, divided into a minimum of four meals.
Feed requirements can vary depending on body weight, workload, condition, and individual needs. Introduce any new feed gradually and ensure fresh, clean drinking water is always available.
SUPPORTING YOUR SENIOR HORSE
Spillers Senior Super-Mash has been developed to help meet the changing needs of older horses and ponies. Because it soaks into a soft mash, it can be particularly helpful for senior horses that struggle to chew hay or other coarse fibre sources.
In addition, the combination of highly digestible fibre, quality protein and digestive-support ingredients helps maintain condition, muscle tone and digestive health. Its apple aroma also helps improve palatability, which can be useful for older or fussier horses.
Furthermore, the low-sugar and starch formulation makes it suitable for horses and ponies requiring a carefully managed diet. It can also be used as a full forage replacement where necessary, making it a flexible option for senior feeding programmes.
