The Single Shelter – Essential Range (12×12) is a compact timber field shelter designed for ponies, smaller horses, and livestock requiring reliable year-round protection. As part of our Essential Range, it provides a practical and cost-effective shelter solution without compromising on strength or durability.
Built in the UK by Hunter Stables, this 12×12 shelter is constructed using pressure-treated timber and finished with box-profile steel roofing for long-lasting weather resistance. The open-front design allows excellent airflow, while the robust timber frame offers dependable protection from wind and rain.
The Single Shelter – Essential Range is available as either a mobile or fixed structure. Mobile shelters are ideal for rotational grazing and flexible field layouts, while fixed shelters provide a permanent solution for exposed or high-traffic paddocks.
This model is particularly well suited to first-time horse owners, smaller yards, and anyone seeking a reliable shelter within a controlled budget. Despite being our entry-level option, it benefits from the same build principles used across our higher-spec ranges.
