TOPSPEC ULSAKIND CUBES
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
TopSpec UlsaKind Cubes are formulated to be highly sympathetic to the equine digestive system, particularly during the normal increase in acidity that can occur between feeds.
The formula is cereal-grain-free, very low in starch and sugar, and high in fibre. However, with a conditioning index of 12MJ/kg, UlsaKind Cubes are still suitable for horses that require extra condition while remaining a ‘Non-Heating’ feed.
They are designed to support digestive comfort while also providing useful calories for horses and ponies that require a low sugar, low starch and high fibre diet.

DIGESTIVE SUPPORT
UlsaKind Cubes contain very high levels of β-glucans. These form a gel which coats the stomach lining with a soothing film and helps create more gel-like stomach contents.
As a result, the stomach contents are less likely to splash the upper squamous epithelium. In addition, the gel-like consistency helps slow the passage of feed through the stomach and intestines.
This slower passage can reduce the periods when the stomach is empty and therefore highly acidic.
The β-glucans also bind to sugars in the intestine, slowing their absorption and helping to lower the glycaemic index of the feed. Furthermore, the formula contains a source of pectin, which thickens into a viscous mucus under the acidic conditions found in the stomach.
STOMACH & HINDGUT SUPPORT
The UlsaKind formula contains 1% of a marine-derived ingredient which helps maintain a healthy stomach pH.
Meanwhile, the slower passage of feed through the stomach gives the small intestine more time to absorb nutrients. This can reduce the amount of carbohydrate reaching the hindgut and therefore help limit excess lactic acid production.
The highly digestible fibre in the cubes also provides a food source for beneficial hindgut bacteria, further supporting a healthy hindgut environment.
FEEDING INFORMATION
UlsaKind Cubes are designed to be fed alongside a TopSpec Feed Balancer or TopSpec All-in-One Multi-Supplement.
They contain no added vitamins or trace elements. However, they are enriched with calcium, sodium and magnesium, helping overcome some of the nutritional limitations associated with feeding straights.
