These structures though often overlooked play a crucial role in the preservation of crops, maintaining the cycle of agriculture or adding unmistakable charm to the countryside.
The primary purpose of a haybarn is to provide a secure and sheltered space for storing hay, straw and other types of bedding. Adequate storage is essential to prevent spoilage and mould. Hay barns also serve as valuable storage spaces for farming equipment, tools and machinery. Sometimes farmers can use these convenient spaces for working indoors.

Hay barns can be designed with various architectural diversity. Depending on the region and the available resources, haybarns can vary in design and construction. Smaller Hay Barns can be either pent or apex roofs, whereas larger barns can support a larger apex with a heightened ridge. Many haybarns also incorporate ventilation and airflow to reduce the risk of mould growth. We only use treated timber on our buildings this protects against rot, decay, insect and fungal attack.
