FEEDING ADVICE
Introduce Emerald Green Feeds Alfalfa Pellets gradually over the course of a week when introducing them alongside any new feed.
- Feeding Rate: Feed approximately 100g–1kg dry weight per 100kg bodyweight as a guide.
- Soaking: The manufacturer recommends soaking pellets until free from lumps, for a maximum of 24 hours, using approximately 2–3 parts water. The pellets can also be fed dry.
- Forage: Forage should make up a minimum of 60% of your horse or pony’s daily intake.
- Scoop Guide: One Stubbs scoop holds approximately 2kg of pellets.
Feeding quantities should be adjusted according to the individual horse or pony, including their bodyweight, workload and the quantity and quality of available forage or grazing.
