HONEYCHOP SUPER SENIOR – 15KG
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Honeychop Super Senior is a soft, high-fibre, molasses-free blend specially formulated for older horses and ponies or those beginning to show signs of ageing. It combines carefully selected natural fibres with glucosamine and probiotics. As a result, it helps support both joint and digestive health.
The soft, short chop is particularly suitable for senior horses and ponies with poorer dentition. In addition, Super Senior contains a low-starch, high-oil pellet to help support the condition while providing essential omega-3 fatty acids.
Furthermore, Super Senior is suitable for horses and ponies both at rest and at work. It forms part of Honeychop’s Free From range and contains no molasses, alfalfa, soya, barley, added sugar, or artificial additives.

FEEDING ADVICE
Feed Honeychop Super Senior at a rate of 150g–300g per 100kg of body weight. However, you should adjust the amount according to your horse or pony’s workload, body condition, and temperament.
One Stubbs scoop weighs approximately 300g. When introducing Super Senior, gradually increase the amount over several days. Always provide access to clean, fresh drinking water.
Good quality forage should form the basis of the diet. In addition, regularly check older horses and ponies for changes in body condition or their ability to chew forage. This way, you can adjust their overall ration when necessary.
SUPPORTING YOUR SENIOR HORSE’S NUTRITION
Honeychop Super Senior has been formulated with the changing nutritional needs of older horses and ponies in mind. Its soft, short chop makes it particularly useful for senior horses with poorer dentition, while oat straw and low-sugar meadow grasses, including Timothy and Fescue, provide palatable sources of fibre.
In addition, the blend contains a low-starch, high-oil pellet to help support condition and provide essential omega-3 fatty acids. Glucosamine is included to support joint health and cartilage function, while natural probiotics help support healthy digestion and the maintenance of a normal hindgut environment.
Furthermore, marigold flowers are included to support skin and coat health. The blend also contains thyme, oregano, mint, and basil, which provide natural antioxidant properties as well as a pleasant aroma to help tempt fussier feeders.
With 25% fibre, 7% oil and 10MJ/kg of digestible energy, Honeychop Super Senior provides a practical everyday fibre option for older horses and ponies. Therefore, it can be used as part of a carefully managed diet, whether your senior horse is at rest or continues to enjoy regular work.
