SOAKING INSTRUCTIONS
Always soak Trident Supa Beet for a minimum of 24 hours before feeding.
- First, add 1 litre of water for every 200g of Supa Beet, giving a 5:1 water-to-feed ratio.
- Next, leave the pellets to soak for at least 24 hours.
- Then, drain away any excess water before feeding.
- Once fully soaked, combine Supa Beet with other horse feeds as required.
- Use prepared sugar beet within a couple of days.
- However, during hot weather, prepare only enough for one day because soaked sugar beet may begin to ferment.
- Finally, finish each prepared batch before soaking a fresh batch rather than continually topping it up.
IMPORTANT: Never feed Trident Supa Beet dry. If a horse consumes unsoaked sugar beet, seek veterinary advice immediately.
METHOD OF PRODUCTION
Trident Supa Beet comes from the sugar production process. First, the production process removes sugar from the beet. The remaining fibrous material then combines with molasses before being formed into pellets. Finally, a fine coating of palm oil completes the finished product.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Store Trident Supa Beet in a secure shed, bunker, bin or hopper. In addition, keep the feed cool, dry and protected from vermin.
Finally, make sure horses and ponies always have access to clean, fresh drinking water.
